Former Skating Rink to Mixed-Use Commercial Spaces

North Augusta

Beacon Bluff, located at 200 & 210 Georgia Avenue in North Augusta, SC, involves the redevelopment of a 12,000-square-foot former roller skating rink into a mixed-use apartment, retail, and restaurant complex. The first floor houses two locally-owned restaurants and a retail running store, and the second floor houses four apartment units. Specific architectural features of the original structure were preserved to maintain the character of this historic building.

The addition of an adjoining 24,000-square-foot building with shared courtyard and architectural tower establish Beacon Bluff as a community landmark. This building includes a local tavern, financial services office, and economic development nonprofit, among other businesses. The courtyard functions as a gathering place for live music, events, and pop-up shops.

Patrons at Beacon Bluff can enjoy views of the riverfront, proximity to the nearby baseball stadium, and access to the Greeneway. Besides functioning as a connection between the riverfront district and downtown North Augusta, this unique project serves as the gateway into South Carolina, greeting guests to the city as soon as they cross the bridge from neighboring Augusta, Georgia.
